On Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 12 pm- 4 pm at Saddle Rock Gateway Trailhead, the YMCA & CASA are holding Hike for a Cause- 5,000 steps for 5,000 kids. Grab a friend, join a team, get your steps sponsored by friends, family and neighbors and join us hiking Saddle Rock to raise funds and awareness for kids in need. The Passage to Juneau

On October 16 at 7 pm, Andy Dappen will give a presentation about his 300- mile saltwater canoe trip between Ketchikan and Juneau, Alaska. The presentation at the Wenatchee Valley Museum comes complete with photos, cowboy poetry, and his nephew’s film featuring the trip.  The presentation is part of the museum’s Environmental Film and Lecture Series. Oktoberfest Trail Runs

The Oktoberfest Trail Runs (10-mile and 5-Mile, plus kids race) are held on Wenatchee National Forest lands near Leavenworth, with the start and finish occurring at the Leavenworth Ski Hill facility, located two miles north of the town of Leavenworth. This event is held during the third and final weekend of Leavenworth’s famous Oktoberfest celebration.
