The “Sustainable Wenatchee Earth Day Fair” is Saturday, April 21st from 10am until 2pm outside the west entrance to Pybus Market. Celebrate our planet and learn about how to protect it! In this course you will learn what to pack, how to move a victim (building stretchers, etc.) water rescues, tourniquets, possible wilderness injuries, teamwork (who makes the decisions) and prolonged patient care. Build a short (0.1 mile) section of wildlife-friendly fence on the western boundary of the Horse Lake Reserve. Expect to dig postholes, pound steel t-posts, and pull and staple wire. The Horse Lake Half-Marathon, 7-Mile and 5-Mile Trail Runs are held on the 1,700-acre Horse Lake Reserve, located in the Wenatchee Foothills near the city of Wenatchee, and owned by the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust.
