Location: Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center On April 16, 2019, three climbers went missing on Howse Peak in the Canadian Rockies. Two had received at least one prestigious Piolet d’Or international mountaineering award, and the third nominated multiple times. All were members of the elite North Face athlete team. Beginner Bird Walks with Wenatchee River Institute November 9th, December 14th (every second Wednesday of the month) 8am-9:30am @ WRI Join WRI for a birding walk around the WRI campus! All birding experience levels are welcome. Loaner binoculars are available, too! You’ll also learn to use eBird, the largest biodiversity-related community science project in the world. This is our annual "preparing the trails for winter" maintenance. The event involves a nice 2-mile hike with a grubbing tool. We are happy to have both experienced and new volunteers.
