W.A. State Parks Free Admission for Veterans Day
W.A. State Parks Free Admission for Veterans Day Washington State Parks has announced free admission days, when the Discover Pass will not be required to visit a state park. Please note, free days apply only to day use (not overnight stays or rented facilities), A Discover Pass will still be required on these days to access lands managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (unless noted). Sagebrush Planting in the Wenatchee Foothills
Date: Wed, 11/10/2021 Time: 12 PM - 3 PM Location: End of Maiden Lane, access to Balsamroot Trail south TH Chelan-Douglas Land Trust invites you to plant over 300 native big sagebrush seedlings in the Wenatchee Foothills, within the footprint of both the 2012 and 2015 wildfires. The seeds were collected nearby in 2020 by CDLT volunteers. Derby Canyon Natives in Peshastin grew the seedlings. The planting area is important mule deer wintering habitat.
