Trails in Motion Film Festival The Trails In Motion International Film Festival brings the world’s finest trail-running and ultra-running films to Wenatchee on March 29 as part of its 2018 world tour. Hosted by RunWenatchee and presented by Visit Wenatchee, the event features eight short films. Overall running time is 1 hour and 50 minutes. On December 18th, 1994, Steve Burchett died from injuries sustained in an avalanche burial while doing avalanche mitigation work at Mission Ridge Ski Area. Steve loved to ski and golf. The proceeds from this tournament are used to sponsor professional ski patrollers in their pursuit of continued education, purchase new rescue equipment for the Mission Ridge Mountain Patrol, and further avalanche education for all winter enthusiasts. This event is hosted by the Mission Ridge Pro Patrol.
