Here at WenatcheeOutdoors.org we work very hard to bring the outdoors to you. We have been busy this year rebuilding the website, rebuilding our logo, teaching classes, promoting conservation, sitting on committees, along with other projects we have been working on. Phew! It hasn’t left us very much time to build relationships with each other within the WenOut team, to have some fun together and to make memories. So, for 2017 you will every so often start seeing articles about the WenOut staff/board members getting out together in some capacity. We are WenatcheeOutdoors.org of course! Time for those of us working together to actually get outside together, instead of on our own.

This is also a chance for those who visit our website (YOU) to see the staff and board members behind the scenes. To get to know us a bit and to know that some of us are crazy badasses in the outdoors, some of us were until we had kid(s), and some of us are still just getting our feet wet. It is important we have fun no matter what our skill or fitness level. Our board and staff members are a range of ages, have a variety of outdoor interests, and we all share one common thing. We believe in what our organization represents, and we want to grow and share our adventures with you! From all of us here at WenatcheeOutdoors.org we wish you a great end of 2016 and look forward to sharing more of our WenOut team adventures with you for 2017!

The first team meetup was decided upon during shoulder season for 2016. Adam Vognild who is one of our board members was kind enough to volunteer to teach a strength training class at the gym he co-owns “Inner Circle Gym” located in Wenatchee, WA. The weather had been pretty rainy so we decided an indoor training session was our best bet for our first team meetup. Below are pictures and comments from the training.

We would like to give a big thank you to Adam for making us sweat and giving us a workout we can do anywhere without any equipment needed!
