Mission Ridge Expands Night Ski Terrain and Operations

Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort announced Tuesday that it has expanded it’s night lighting system to include an additional 13 acres of terrain with access from Chairs 1 and 4 as well as the Pika Peak and 100LAPS rope tows. Night ski operations will also increase from ten Saturday nights up to thirty-two nights for the 2019/20 winter season. Night Skiing will begin December 26th and run Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights through the end of February from 4 pm to 9 pm.

This Night Ski expansion represents a large increase to our night skiing terrain and offerings, said Marketing Director Tony Hickok. We are returning to multiple nights a week for the first time since the mid-nineties, but we are also opening up lift-served beginner terrain and the 100LAPS rope tow park for the first time ever for night skiing.

Last season, Mission Ridge re-introduced night lessons on the Pika Peak rope tow and the response was overwhelming. The interest in affordable learning programs at a time other than on the weekends or mid-day is really high. The expansion of night skiing will be a good benefit to our local community. We look forward to working with local schools, as well as youth and community groups to develop programs to introduce even more local kids to skiing and snowboarding, said Jodi Taggart Mission Ridge’s Director of Skier Services.

Mission Ridge will offer a Night Ski Pass for $29-$149 depending on age for all 32 nights. Single night tickets will also be available for $25 for adults, $20 for ages 18-24, $15 for ages 10-17, and $5 for ages 9 and under. 2019/20 Season Passholders already enjoy full access to Night Skiing, but Mission Ridge will also be extending Night Ski access to its Midweek Passholders this season as well. The additional terrain and night operations also provide an amazing opportunity for school groups, those looking to try skiing and snowboarding for the first time, and those with budget constraints to enjoy our local mountain at an even more affordable price.
