Sisters in Action Sports (SAS) is a PNW founded non-profit with a mission to inspire, encourage, and empower girls and women through participation in action sports. In Central Washington, SAS has implemented rock climbing, mountain biking, and snow programs with plans to introduce hiking and road cycling programs in 2020. SAS Central WA is led by volunteer Director, Megan Koski, a former competitive snowboarder who calls Wenatchee home.

“SAS would not be where it is today without our incredible volunteers and donors. The lives we touch is what makes all the work worth it. While most our activities are for girls and women, we do offer co-ed happenings. Our intent is not to exclude boys or men as we have some of the best brothers, fathers, uncles, friends, etc. in our community. However, our goal is to provide a safe, open arm, supportive, and inclusive environment for girls and women of all ages to show up, try something new, and learn (or teach) from a female perspective. Over the years, we have found a very organic flow from season to season where girls and women who thrive in one season are looking to spend time with girls and women they have met through SAS in all seasons. This flow has pushed us to introduce new sports such as biking, hiking, Stand Up Paddleboarding, wakeboarding, etc. Some of the best of friends have been found through SAS events. It doesn’t get much better than that.” – Megan Koski, SAS Central WA Director
