Help plan the future of Chelan County parks, open space and trails.
Chelan County conducts a revision of its Comprehensive Plan’s Recreation Element every seven years. This update is crucial for maintaining eligibility for specific grants that support the execution of key actions identified in the plan.
The process of updating the Recreation Element heavily relies on public feedback to ensure it aligns with the community’s needs and priorities. For the 2024 revision, the county is engaging the public through an online survey and a series of in-person events in February to gather this vital input.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the online survey, available in both English and Spanish. The survey, which takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete, remains open until February 16. It allows participants to voice their opinions on desired improvements and locations.
Additionally, two in-person events are scheduled to further collect public opinions:
- On February 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Chelan City Hall, located at 135 E. Johnson Ave., Chelan.
- On February 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Confluence Technology Center, located at 285 Technology Center Way, Wenatchee.
