Our intrepid Executive Director has been leading our organization for the past 10 years now. In so many ways Wenatchee Outdoors is synonymous with Sarah. Her bright energy and true outdoor spirit has been there front and center, introducing residents of Greater North Central Washington to all the adventures that await them just outside their doorsteps. She’s been one-woman show for much of that time, has seen board members and volunteers come and go, and has recently built up a team to support the organization she has poured so much time and care into.
As the organizations current Board President, I have enjoyed partnering with Sarah and watching her grow as her role has evolved. I look forward to seeing her uplevel as she takes on more and larger responsibilities with WenOut and with partner organizations.
It is worth noting that the photo I’ve chosen for this post is the same one Andy Dappen used when he wrote about hiring her initially. It is also worth noting that Sarah bears the same smile every time I see her, all these years later.
Sarah, thank you for being our steadfast, smiling guide for this past decade, and here’s to that continuing for the next decade!
