Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort is thrilled to announce that the 2024/25 season will kick off on Saturday, November 23rd. This pre-Thanksgiving opening marks the 12th time in 13 years that Mission Ridge has launched its season on or before the holiday weekend—a reflection of Mission Ridge’s dedication to delivering early-season access to skiers and snowboarders. The resort will start the season with Chair 1 and The Wenatchee Express (Chair 2) operating from 9 am to 4 pm on November 23rd and 24th. Additional chairlifts and terrain will open as conditions permit.
“We are beyond excited to welcome everyone back to Mission Ridge for another incredible season,” said Tony Hickok, Chief Marketing Officer at Mission Ridge. “Thanks to early November snowfall and the relentless work of our snowmaking team, we’re set to provide the community with the opportunity to ski and ride over the final two weekends of November, which is something we always strive for.”
Chief Mountain Officer Ethan Howell added, “The teams have put in an outstanding effort, particularly in making the most out of hit-or-miss snowmaking windows this month. It’s a testament to the dedication of our staff across the mountain that we’re able to open on or before Thanksgiving so consistently.”
All resort services will be open, including the Chair 5 Pub, Ka-Wham Cafe, and Midway Lodge, offering early-season menus to keep everyone fueled for a day on the mountain.
Mission Ridge will continue its tradition of honoring local heroes through the Firefighter and Emergency Personnel Appreciation program. From opening day through December 15th, Firefighters, EMTs, and Law Enforcement professionals—including 2024 seasonal personnel—are invited to enjoy free skiing and riding as a thank-you for their service.
Looking ahead to opening day, the weather forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of snow with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 22 degrees. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic start to the season, and the team at Mission Ridge couldn’t be more excited to welcome everyone back to the mountain.
