The North Central Washington Audubon Society is hosting a bird photography contest beginning February 15, 2018. This contest gives local photographers an opportunity to enter their best bird photos for judging by a panel of highly qualified northwest judges.

There are three categories for entrants: Professional (photographers who routinely sell their photos), Adult Enthusiast and Youth (under age 18). A Grand Prize winner and two Honorable Mentions will be selected in each category.

16×20 inch prints will be prepared and awarded to Grand Prize and Honorable Mention winners. The winning prints will be displayed along with the traveling exhibit of photo winners of the 2017 National Audubon Bird Photography contest at the Leavenworth BirdFest in May 2018. The winning prints will also be displayed at various locations in North Central Washington for a period of six months after the contest.

Who: Anyone residing in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, or Ferry counties can enter.

When: The contest opens on February 15, 2018, and closes on March 30, 2018. Winners will be announced on April 13, 2018.

How: Please visit www.ncwaudubon.org for entry information.
